uEEG-Rat_Q1
A custom-made pin electrode for rat high density EEG recording. The pin has a flat, smooth tip design. When properly implanted, the tip should gently depress the surface of the brain.
To use, solder a wire between the pin head and an EIB. Then, use a 0.3mm burr drill bit to create access to brain surface, insert the pin into the burr hole. Apply glue (e.g. IC-2000 Black Rubber Toughened CA) to secure the pin.
We are working on a design optimized for mouse model. Inputs are welcomed. If you need something in the meantime, you may use a sand paper to grind the pin down to desirable length.
